Hello again

OK, it has indeed been a while since we last spoke. I'm ashamed to say that I have been revoking our little friendship for other, more mundane, things. I won't rattle these things off to you...oh well; let me see - fatherhood, work pressures, finding an atom of time to just be at home - things that don't rattle the universe to its core but keep a man embraced and focused while life continues outside his front door. These are simple things, yes, but then again I am a simple person (or at least trying to be). I got busy, plain and simple, and I won't be making an excuse out of it. Take it or leave it.
Now I'm back though there are a few things I thought I should bring to your attention. Namely this: hard work is often boring, especially to other people. Please don't despair - I just have my head down and my bum up. My life revolves around a very small number of people - please don't judge anyone by the number of face-book friends they have. I have worked very hard to keep the driftwood of acquaintance and human networks afar from my everyday life. It's paying dividends so I won't be changing any time soon. Lastly I am an extremely happy and centred individual. I choose to wear a gruff and somewhat short tempered persona at times because it is a luxury - ask my friends, they'll tell you no different.
So, without further ado -
Let's get this thing ticking over again between you and me. You know where I'm coming from now so this should make things more interesting.
